Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals - current situation

During the present season whilst the churches are closed, the arrangements for baptisms, weddings and funerals have changed. We will do our best to help you with any queries or concerns, please contact us via the website.

We are able to discuss booking a baptism / christening, but unable to confirm a date for a service in churches until we know when the churches will be reopened, It is always possible to baptise at home, if a baptism is seen to be urgent.

Whilst the churches are closed, it is not possible to have a Church of England wedding, If the church re-opens to allow your wedding to take place but in not enough time for banns to be called, then it is possible to apply for a Common Licence, we are able to help with this. It may also be necessary, depending upon the advice in place when your wedding is due to take place, to restrict the number of people attending. If you need to move the date of your wedding, please contact us, and we will gladly do this for you. We are taking bookings for 2021 and 2022.

Funerals can take place at the graveside only at present and also Ministers are happy to take Crematorium funerals if requested.
